Louis Vuitton is the world's leading luxury retail company from France operating as a part of LVMH Holding. The fashion house specializes in leather goods, trunks, ready-to-wear, watches, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, accessories, and books. All the products are sold through the company’s own retail stores, small boutiques in high-end department stores, and online through its website only. Louis Vuitton is famous in the world for its monogram print and logo LV. The company was started in 1854. The company merged with Moët et Chandon and Hennessy in 1987, creating the luxury powerhouse anagram LVMH. In 1997, the company hired New York designer Marc Jacobs as a Creative Director who created the company's first ready-to-wear line.
